I really need to find a soap to watch

Because, instead, I end up watching stuff on Discovery like “Birth Day” and “Birth Stories” – shows focusing on, what seems to be, the PAINS of childbirth. Oy. I’ll tell you one thing, stuff like that TOTALLY sells the epidural…especially the woman who was trying the natural childbirth and then 10 hours later realized she needed the painkillers. Poor lady. The procedure never fully kicked-in in time. OUCH.

  1. May I suggest All My Children. Some big storylines are wrapping up so we should be heading into the start of something big and soapy!

  2. I vote for your favorite shows on DVD, cause those soap operas will just teach you that your neighbor wants to steal your baby and swap it for an evil clone and that's just not good for your mind. (though it might make a good screenplay....think about it)

  3. Too bad that you're not here in the UK. Watching "Coronation Street" will give you enough pain to distract you from the pain of childbirth. ;-)

  4. Oooo, I agree, go the dvd route. I have to say I am anti-soap, unless it's at night (prime time soaps are just that much "better). Then again, to go with evryone's suggestion, TiVo the old prime time soaps from SoapNet, burn them to DVD, then watch. It's more work, but, really...it WILL pass the time (and DYNASTY is THAT bad it's THAT good).
